A UFO sighting witnessed by a Belleville police officer and Dane County Sheriff officers garnered national attention in January of 1987. Today Belleville, Wisconsin hosts “UFO Days”, the last Saturday in October, complete with a parade downtown and other festivities.
UFO Day 2026 is on Saturday, October 31st.

The annual event includes a UFO-themed parade where children are encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes and bring containers to collect candy from the parade participants. Throughout the day other events take place.
